HOW WE GOT HERE

Adkins Seasoning is a family-owned, multi-generation company founded in 1967 by Hoyt “Tony” Adkins.

What started with a single blend — Western Style BBQ Rub — was created by Tony, a meat processor who originally made the seasoning for his own use. The flavor spoke for itself. Friends, family, and local customers quickly asked for more, and before long it was being shared and sold entirely by word of mouth through BBQ joints and neighborhood meat markets.

Today, Adkins Seasoning offers 25+ thoughtfully crafted blends, trusted by home cooks, pitmasters, and retailers across the United States. While the lineup has expanded, our approach has stayed the same.

We continue to use high-quality raw ingredients to deliver bold, balanced, and consistent flavor. Our original Western Style BBQ Rub remains a top seller — still made with the same recipe that started it all.
